About Our Organization

Remembering Ruthie Rescue is a registered 501c3 founded in 2012 in memory of a rescue puppy, Ruthie, who tragically passed from Parvo while in foster care.

That day, founding members Sally & Steve Parker began the journey to creating a safe haven for dogs in need.

While our main office is located in Georgia, we are a foster based rescue pulling high risk dogs from shelters in the South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee areas.

RRR has 25-35 dogs in our care at any given time, with 100% in foster homes.

The main focus of our efforts goes to those often overlooked in shelters....senior dogs. Many senior dogs have received some type of neglect throughout their lives, and are in dire health when they come to us. We depend on our amazing network of fosters to help save as many lives as possible as we get them the medical treatment and care they need.

Every life is special to us regardless of age, breed, size or disability. We believe that every dog deserves to be treated humanely with a chance to live happily and cruelty-free.
